About Hartsook Knives
I’m a self - taught knife maker who began making and selling knives in
junior high school shop class.
This creative expression came to a quick halt when I was caught selling them all over school , the principal wasn’t happy. Later while in the Army Special Forces I took a more serious approach to knife making due to the practical need for a good knife. After some research I designed my Model O.D.A (Operational Detachment Alpha) which I still carry today. This model has been tested hard by SF instructors, writers, and soldiers for over 19 years and has stood the test of time.
The product line for Hartsook Knives has become more than just tactical. I have since designed a more practical line of knives for everyday use. These knives have multi-modes of carry for convenience and concealment, perfect for the outdoor sportsman or for personal protection. I stand behind my knives both in design and craftsmanship.
